The Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMRs) in Subpart H, 172.704 prescribes training requirements for all employees dealing with Hazardous Materials.

Why do I need to take this course?

The Federal Hazardous Materials Transportation Law (49 U.S.C. 5101 et seq.), is the basic statute regulating the transportation of Hazardous Materials in the United States. The law requires the training of ALL Hazardous Materials employees. The purpose is to increase the Hazardous Materials employee’s safety awareness and allow them to be an essential element in reducing Hazardous Materials incidents.

What does this course consist of?

ITI is pleased to offer Hazardous Materials “General Awareness/Familiarization Training” to all new Hazardous Materials employees and the recurrent training required every three years for current Hazardous Materials employees.

ITI, is also pleased to offer Function-Specific training, Safety training, Security Awareness training and In-depth Security training. We will also document, provide you a record and keep a record of all 172.704 training required by the regulations
