History of ITI
ITI was established in October of 1992 as a comprehensive drug and alcohol testing company, providing testing for all industries, throughout the State of Indiana. Over the past 20 years, our business has expanded to include over 2400 clients throughout not only the State of Indiana, but throughout the United States. ITI has continued to grow technologically as well. Our computer software, DrugPak, allows our clients to view results directly on-line with ITI Live, as well as provides a highly flexible system for test result retrieval. Drug test results are at your fingertips whenever you want to view the information. Our goal was to create a system that would perfectly match our clients’ needs.
ITI has been providing a DOT-FMCSA consortium program, for businesses with 1 to 12 drivers, since 1998. We currently have over 470 companies enrolled. All ITI consortium accounts receive an annual report with semi-annual statistics in January for the previous year.
ITI continues to maintain a constant state of growth and commitment to our clients, as well as a competitive, informative and dependable product with the most personal touch. In 2012, the growth led to the necessity of expanding to 3 new departments to handle the growth.
We continue to grow in the Drug and Alcohol Testing, thus our Customer Service Department now consists of 6 full time employees and 4 part time employees, as well as 5 outside collectors. Our Customer Service Staff is available 24 hours a day-7 days a week to assist you in setting up collections at local hospitals or clinics near your required location. We are assisting manufacturing facilities, schools, cities, towns and several different governmental agencies with their drug and alcohol testing needs.
With our continued expansion from a drug and alcohol testing facility to a full service compliance company, ITI has formed a Safety Consulting Department. The members of this newly created department are well equipped to assist clients with as much or as little assistance as needed. Whether we are explaining to a client why their driver was inspected or we represent the client as a part of their companies’ safety department, the consultants of the Safety Consulting Department are up to the task. They are available to assist clients with the annual inspections on their commercial motor vehicles, (CMVs) by conducting the Appendix G inspections, or ensure that those who did the Appendix G inspections are qualified and certified. They can assist clients with roadside inspections received anywhere in the US, interpret the inspections and provide Data Q challenges to the State of inspection if needed. They will soon be able to assist carriers with routine maintenance requirements, leaving their employees to work on other projects. One of the most important functions is to provide mock FMCSR compliance review, before the fact, for current clients and to assist new clients who come to us after a compliance review for remedies and fixes. The Safety Consulting Department is the logical stop for our clients who are preparing for the 2014 federal requirement for the installation and utilization of EOBRs. (Electronic On-board Recording Device) ITI is fast becoming a leader in Qualcomm systems sales and installation in the Mid-west.
Our other newly formed and staffed, Safety & Training Department is fully capable of reviewing your Driver Qualification Files for accuracy and completeness. Our analysts are also capable to pull and review your MVRs. Logbook audits are conducted monthly for accuracy and for Hours-of-Service violations and Maintenance files are also available. If a client wishes ITI to prepare their required FMCSA records and manage those records, these Analysts are more than capable of doing so. ITI has added to its current trainers and we can now offer specialized training in many more areas of compliance. This training can be accomplished at ITI Headquarters training facility or we can come to your facility or corporate office, bringing everything needed to get the job done. We offer extensive Supervisor Training, Hazardous Material Awareness/Familiarization Training, and Hours-of-Service Training for Drivers as well as for management officials. We can train your mechanics what to look for while conducting the annual Appendix G inspections. We also have the unique ability to instruct your drivers and management officials on the particulars of roadside inspections from the inspector’s viewpoint. Our instructors can advise what officer’s look for and what causes some roadside inspections to occur. DER (Designated Employee Representative) Training as well as Collector training is available for companies who wish to perform their own drug test collections.
In the coming years, ITI will continue to provide the most comprehensive and flexible services; not only in the state of Indiana but across the United States, for our privately owned companies, as well as our Counties, Cities, Towns and Schools. ITI is and will continue to be your one stop shop.
